The Dayton Broncos are starting to pick up some steam.
For the second straight win, the Broncos shutout their opponent.
And at the plate, they picked up six runs in the fifth inning to run-rule Baytown Lee 10-0 on the road Tuesday night.
The Broncos (5-6) ended the Huffman-Hargrave Tournament Saturday with a 3-0 win over New Waverly.
Another big storyline from that tournament was Hunter Wallace, who pitched an eight-inning gem against Angleton last Thursday.
Against the Ganders, Wallace picked up where he left off with five innings of one-hit ball. He struck out seven and walked three for the win.
Just like the Angleton game, Wallace contributed at the plate as well. The junior went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
His catcher, Zak Wood, slugged a solo homer and doubled on a 2-for-2 night.
Sebastian Alvila and Ivan Lopez each had one RBI.
Seven different Broncos scored runs with Kyler Moreau leading with two. He also had two singles.
Dayton (5-6) will play its last tournament of the season Thursday through Saturday at Goose Creek Memorial.
