Deer Park’s District 24-6A was a big success.
Madi Alvarado didn’t allow a hit, the Deer totaled 10 hits and had a huge fourth inning and a 12-1 road win at Clear Falls was achieved Tuesday night in five innings.
Alvarado allowed one unearned run and struck out two with two walks as Deer Park (11-4, 1-0) extended its winning streak to six straight.
Deer Park led 3-0 in the first inning before pouring on eight runs in the fourth.
Journey Calderon homered and totaled a game-high three RBIs.
Kayla Barras, Mia Montemayor and Camryn Plocheck each drove in two runs. Mariah Ramirez and Aleena Carrizales also had an RBI apiece
Montemayor doubled while Barras, Ramirez and McCartney Pledger had two runs apiece.
Barras stole two bases while Ramirez had one.
Clear Falls drops to 4-8 on the season and have lost seven of its last eight games.
Deer Park returns home to Doll Field Friday evening to play Clear Creek at 6:30 p.m.
