Grand Oaks won its third straight game Tuesday night while earning a season series sweep of The Woodlands.
The Grizzlies used a big fifth inning for an 8-4 win over the Highlanders in District 13-6A.
Grand Oaks (16-6, 6-3) had a homer from Julia Veilleux and an inside-the-park homer by Larissa Tavares. Veilleux totaled two RBIs while Tavares also had two RBIs and had two hits.
Lead-off hitter Ava Butler went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.
Kiley Milligan was 3-for-3 with two RBIs.
Victoria Hernandez went five innings with six strikeouts. She allowed two earned runs on six hits and two walks.
Kat Mack picked things up from there with two innings pitched, two earned runs allowed on four hits and one strikeout.
The Woodlands (10-8, 4-5) has lost four straight while allowing 53 runs.
Grand Oaks participates in the Humble ISD Tournament Thursday at Summer Creek. The Grizzlies then host Cleveland Friday night.
