Kingwood Park finished the first round of District 18-5A on a high note and a winning streak.
For the first time in district play this season, the Pantheres pieced back-to-back wins as they totaled 17 hits in a 13-6 win at Splendora Tuesday night.
The Panthers (10-4, 4-2) beat Porter with nine runs scored Friday night and have scored 32 runs over their past three games.
Abbey Papadimitriou homered for the second straight game as she totaled three RBIs against Splendora (5-10, 2-4).
Addie Gomez was 3-for-4 with a double and also had three RBIs.
No. 9 hitter Lexie Barbontin was 4-for-4 (double) with three runs scored.
Lead-off hitter Ava Klinefelter was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI. Keilee Brown and Allie Minick also drove in runs. Brown doubled, as did Samantha Barnes.
Haylee Seales went the first 2 ⅔ innings. She allowed five earned runs on four hits and six walks. She struck out three.
Minick went the rest of the way with six strikeouts. She allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks.
Kingwood Park has Humble ISD Tournament games Thursday (at Humble) and Saturday (at Summer Creek). The Panthers return to district play next Tuesday at Pasadena.
