Thirty-seven total bases. Kingwood certainly put on a display at the plate Tuesday evening.
In what amounted to four homers, two triples, five doubles and five singles, the Mustangs punished the ball to the tune of an 18-0 win at Channelview in four innings.
And that doesn’t even mention the four innings of no perfect-game pitching spun by the duo of Frei Pizarro and Kendall Yates.
State-ranked Kingwood (13-1-1, 3-0) won for the fifth straight game and carried some mega momentum into Friday’s huge home game with rival Atascocita.
Seven Mustangs had multiple hits against the Falcons and that same amount drove in runs.
The leader in total bases was Hunter Quentel, who homered and doubled twice while totaling three RBIs.
Addyson Sheppard was leader in the RBI department with five as she went 2-for-4 with a homer.
Leilani Garcia was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs.
Mia Gagliardi homered and tripled on a 2-for-3 night with two RBIs.
Yates was 2-for-2 with a solo homer and a double. She also pitched two scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout.
Abella Mata went 3-for-3 with three runs. Mata had one RBI, as did Elizabeth Mower.
Pizarro started in the circle and went the first two innings. She struck out five.
Ava Eilertson had a stolen base for Kingwood while McKenna Holm and Mia Chaires each scored two runs.
Kingwood has outscored district opponents 37-1 so far through three games.
