For the second time this season, Oak Ridge put on a dominant performance against Cleveland.
Tuesday night, to begin the second round of District 13-6A, the War Eagles rolled 25-9, 25-7, 25-9 over the Indians.
The War Eagles (29-8, 6-3) held Cleveland (4-19, 0-9) to less than 10 points in five out of six sets played this season.
Gaby Santiago put together a double-double for the War Eagles. She led in kills with 13 while adding 10 digs, which was second not he team.
Ten War Eagles combined on 42 kills on the night. Leila Ceaser added eight kills while Layla Porter had five and Ally Luke added four. Gabbie Perduk and Karli Glover had three kills each.
Bradi Rhodes led in assists with 21 while Guen Blackburn added 12. Samantha Daley passed off for six assists.
Riley Dube was the leader in digs with 12 while Rhodes added seven and Glover had six. Ceaser finished with five.
Oak Ridge also had 12 aces with Micah Rusher leading with three and Ceaser, Blackburn and Glover with two each.
The War Eagles, currently fourth place in district play, has a big match on the agenda for Friday at home.
Oak Ridge took College Park, currently in third place, to five sets back on Sept. 3 before the Cavaliers prevailed.
Oak Ridge is looking to snap a nine-match losing streak to College Park. The War Eagles last defeated the Cavaliers in November 2020.
