History: Summer Creek is 7-3 all-time against Humble. The Bulldogs have won four straight over the Wildcats, including 42-16 last year. Humble last won in 2019.

Key player for Humble: Senior quarterback Tristian Bernard scored on a 69-yard run and also threw a touchdown pass to Jayden Heaton in last Thursday’s loss to C.E. King.

Key player for Summer Creek: Senior EDGE rusher Chad Woodfork, who’s committed to TCU, has five sacks and 10 of his 23 tackles have come at a loss. 

Stat attack: Humble’s 176 rushing yards against C.E. King — led by McArthur Baker III with 110 — was the most for the Wildcats in a District 23-6A game and the second-most overall behind the 223-yard effort in the season-opener at Tomball Memorial.

Notable: Summer Creek, the state runner-up in Class 6A Division II last year, is ranked No. 8 in the state poll … The Bulldogs are the third state-ranked team Humble has face in the past five weeks … Summer Creek has won two straight, including a season-high in points 81-6 win over Goose Creek Memorial last week … Humble is looking to prevent its first losing streak of the season … After a 3-0 start, the Wildcats haven’t been at .500 so far this season … Humble senior Patrick Long continues to ascend up the leaderboard in tackles as he leads with 70 on the season.
